The reality competition of drag performers is expanding its reach.
RuPaul's Drag Race is expanding its audience to a lot more channels.
The premiere of season 13 will be simulcast on the CW Network alongside MTV, MTV2, PopTV, and Logo. This is the first time in its 13-season history that the RuPaul-hosted reality show will be be viewable to an expanded broadcast audience.
Previously, Drag Raceannounced its cast members and its premiere date on Friday, January 1 at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific. Untucked, the behind-the-scenes show, will air immediately afterward.
There was also news of a shocking twist in the trailer: Upon arrival to the werk room, the queens learn they must immediately engage in a lip-synch battle royale to secure their spot in the competition. The season will thus begin with a series of six lipsynchs for their lives.
Can't wait for the "Happy Ru Year" premiere? Logo will also be airing a marathon of every season, 1-12, beginning on Friday, December 25 at 9:00 a.m. Eastern and Pacific.
